There is always plenty of activity in Appleton, and the summer fun kicks off with the Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 30^th.  Less than two weeks later, the Flag Day Parade hits the streets of Appleton on Saturday, June 11^th at 2 pm. Come enjoy the United States' oldest Flag Day Parade with bands, floats and other displays. Beyond the parades, Appleton enjoys the summer with events for a wide range of interests with live music leading the way!

One Great Place for Live Music!

Music fills the summer air of Appleton. Two great music series return in full force for Summer 2022. The Heid Music Summer Concert Series kicks off June 2 and runs Thursdays through August 25. Move and groove to the music of the summer on stage in Downtown Appleton! This series features a variety of artists, so check ahead to find your favorite artist or genre of music.  Your favorite adult malt beverages, wine, soda and water will also be available, along with food from your favorite Downtown bars, restaurants and vendors in the park. While you are here, stop at the many Downtown businesses that stay open later for you in the summer!

 

Another local favorite concert series, Lunchtime Live on the Road runs from June 3 - August 2. This summer series features acoustic music by local musicians during the lunch hour! Explore a different Downtown restaurant with the concert moving between outdoor patios each week! Enjoy lunch while supporting a local establishment, listening to local tunes, and enjoying some sunshine!

And don’t forget Appleton’s Mile of Music!

Mile 9 lights up Appleton from Thursday, August 4 - Sunday, August 7, 2022.  This year’s event brings 900 live music sets to 70 venues.  The event will feature all original music from artists that appeal to a large array of audiences. Both before and after Mile 9, the Mile of Music folks offer live music throughout Appleton by sponsoring concerts through:

Downtown Appleton Farm Market

The beloved Downtown Appleton Farm Market kicks off June 18th with great fresh produce and crafts until the end of October! Visit more than 150 vendors selling fresh fruits & vegetables, exotic meats & cheeses, breads & baked goods, specialty food & handcrafted items along with live music!

 

Other Event highlights

Another event highlight for this summer, Downtown Creates... returns from May-August.  Explore and enjoy performing arts, visual arts, rhythm & music, art of food, art of fashion, and more.  Exciting, open-air, walkable activities full of creativity the third Friday of each month this summer.

The Downtown Trolley will runs Thursday - Saturday, June-September this summer. The perfect way to get around Downtown and to our beautiful Riverfront. Take the trolley to enjoy the sights, sounds and delicious smells of our great area.

After a summer full of new and traditional activities, a new event wraps up the summer and ushers in the Fall. Irish Fest of the Fox Cities brings food and fun for all ages to Get their green on! The event premiers September 16& 17 at Jones Park. IrishFest of the Fox Cities will be a celebration of everything Irish and Celtic. This 2-day festival features 2 stages, 18 musical performers, 3 dance teams, and 2 Irish sports clubs from right here in the Fox Valley.
