Spring events continue as Appleton celebrates National Craft Beer Week. Each year a traditional Craft Beer Walk occurs through the beautiful downtown and riverfront the Saturday of Craft Beer Week. Some years a second Craft Beer Walk also occurs in the Fall.

Craft Beer Walk 2022

The Event: Enjoy a tasting tour of Wisconsin brewed beers at a variety of establishments within beautiful Downtown and the Riverfront.  The event this Spring will be on Saturday, May 14 from 3 – 8 pm.  It will target several establishments, grouped geographically, per each of the walks. A standard walk (about 8 stops) will feature a tasting of two delicious Wisconsin craft beers at each stop.  Watch for more details for each of the walks at http://www.beerwalkwi.com/

The Appleton Craft Beer Walk event is designed for both true beer aficionados and novice beer drinkers.  Information will be at each stop to educate participants about the styles and attributes of the beers they’re tasting.  Participants stroll past unique shopping and dining places while walking from venue to venue. Participants should feel free to stop in and make dinner reservations at the local restaurants for after they finish the walk.

You can pick your route from different options and register either at your favorite watering hole or online. Each ticket includes the two FREE brew samples at each venue on your walk, a commemorative Craft Beer Walk logo glass, and walk wristband (the glass and wristband are both required to receive samples at each stop). The commemorative glass for use that day is also to take home to remember the fun!  Buy your ticket at any of the participating locations STARTING MID-APRIL and follow the event on Facebook for updates. Online registration will also be available soon at Beerwalkwi.com.  Tickets are available while supplies last.

The VIP Pass 

A VIP pass will likely be available again this Spring. This allows the purchaser to start at the venue at which the VIP pass is purchased, but the other 7 stops on the route are open to any of the participating bars.  VIP Pass purchasers make their own tour.   Special features for VIP ticket holders will be provided at each location - where will you stop?

You don't have to try all the free samples on your tour, but it may be hard to resist!  We invite you to just relax and enjoy a leisurely day, relishing some of the best of craft beers from across Wisconsin.  You may even wish to buy a pint of your new favorite brew and relax a little longer on your walk.

You can also enjoy a variety of public art as you make your way from venue to venue to taste the variety of craft beers you will encounter. A small portion of ticket sales supports Creative Appleton, Inc. which helps fund public art in downtown Appleton. Enjoy our outstanding downtown and riverfront and, of course, truly remarkable craft beers.  And while doing so you are helping make our city even more beautiful for future events.
