T
he William Rhode’s house, an approved member inn of the
Wisconsin bed and breakfast association, is ideally located in the
quiet and safe downtown historical city park neighborhood.
We are only steps from Appleton City Park with the impressive “Ring Dance”
sculpture by Dallas Anderson resting in the center of a fountain
featuring six bronze children playing an old game enjoyed by African children.
Then with an easy two block walk to the College Ave., you will arrive
at the downtown specialty shops, finest restaurants, The
History Museum at the Castle, Appleton Art Center, and Lawrence University.
If you have time to exercise, then why not enjoy the scenic Fox
River walking and biking trail only four blocks from the inn?
Our guests have found that our location has great appeal!
Our location in
downtown Appleton is at the heart of many varied attractions with easy access
to the interstate roads.
Our Appleton, WI bed and breakfast inn features four
elegant theme guest rooms and suites.

amenities in a comfortable and unique lodging setting. Each suite offers a
cozy fireplace, two person whirlpool, and queen size bed. Each

Your stay at the Franklin Street Inn includes our tempting, gourmet breakfast
typically served at your convenience between 8:00 and 9:00. Our breakfast recipes
come from the cookbook that Judy published. Special serving times can be arranged for early departures or for those who like to sleep in.
You can enjoy your breakfast in the formal dining room with the ambiance of the 19th century or in the privacy of your suite.
Typically when guests arrive, they comment on the aroma of their home baked treat prepared especially for them. Of course, complimentary
beverages are available anytime. An early morning coffee and tea energizer is just one way that we offer customer service. It is our
pleasure to accommodate any special requests during your stay. Please ask in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.
